The group’s name references a pivotal moment in the history of artificial intelligence: the legendary Go match between world champion Lee Sedol and DeepMind’s AlphaGo. After losing three consecutive games, Sedol stunned the world with an unconventional strategy - the now-famous Move 78 - which forced the AI into making a rare mistake. This moment, symbolising human creativity, adaptability, and intuition in an age of advancing technology, mirrors Move 78’s own philosophy and their innovative approach to making music.
