An Ode to Joey Deez is a heartfelt tribute album by AVER, created in memory of Joey Deez, co-founder of Village Live Records.
Composed in the days between Joey’s passing and his funeral, AVER used the project as a form of musical therapy — piecing together voice messages, break exchanges, and unreleased collaborations recorded during lockdown with Doron Segal. The result is a deeply personal and sonically rich record that both honours Joey's legacy and celebrates the spirit he brought to everyone around him.
