Manimal Vector’s forthcoming new album Ninja Stuff lands for cassette pre-order this Friday, alongside the title track hitting all streaming platforms.

While the album as a whole leans into synth-heavy instrumentals and strong 80s vibes throughout, the title track itself goes fully into ninja movie territory.

“Ninja Stuff” is inspired by classic 80s films like American Ninja, packed with analog sounding synths, over-the-top action energy and the spirit of a decade where ninjas seemed to be doing aerial acrobatics every five minutes for absolutely no reason.

It’s all very tongue in cheek really. The 80s felt like one long fever dream of choreographed machismo backed by pumping synth soundtracks, and Ninja Stuff was written to tap into exactly that feeling.

Similar in tone to Rogue VHS, Le Matos, Francois Smith and L’Avenue, but without taking itself too seriously.
